Site Notice: March 2, 2020, 6:21 pm Still playing around with the site. The navigation bar was taking forever to load. It seems that the Amazon and Google ad scripts need updating. I've turned them off, for the immediate future. Site Notice: March 1, 2020, 6:10 pm My hosting service went through a second round of force-updating older servers to use PHP 7.x. This - again - broke my code. I was able to buy a few more weeks after the first forced-upgrade by reverting back to PHP 5.6 through my site management panel. They took that option away last week, on Round Two. I didn't get any emails or Facebook messages about the site being down... makes me wonder if anyone still visits. I'd hoped to get them to roll it back again, but I'm sure they aren't happy to do that. Now it seems that they don't have to. The original framework I was using dates back to early 2011. I have now updated the framework to the latest release and set my account to use PHP 7.4. It ought to be a decently long time before I need to upgrade again. It took me a while to get the basic framework up and running, but, aside from a few minor tweaks, it looks like it's managing. Don't be shocked if the site acts funny for the next week or so as I do some further behind-the-scenes work on it.
